SUBMISSIONS
Please see our submission guidelines and instructions below. Submissions will close January 15th, 2026
Only students and alumni from the Far Western Region of Sigma Tau Delta (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, China, and Guam) are eligible to submit work to be considered for publication in Intraminutia. You may submit up to two (2) submissions, divided as follows:

One (1) submission of either creative nonfiction or short fiction categories

One (1) submission of poetry (up to 5 poems) or art/photography (up to 10 pieces).
Works submitted to Intraminutia may not have been published elsewhere and may not be currently submitted to another publication. Intraminutia claims First North American Serial Rights. This means that the works submitted here cannot appear in or be submitted to any other publication until after the release of this issue of Intraminutia. Rights will revert to the author upon publication in Intraminutia.

Submitted works must also have been written/created or have had extensive revisions since you entered college.

Poetry

All poetry must be submitted in the same document typed. All written submissions must be in 12 point, Times New Roman in Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) or Rich Text (.rtf) format. Do not include extra information in a header.

Every piece must be titled.

Short Fiction

Short fiction submissions may be in any style including, but not limited to, short story, micro-fiction, flash fiction, and tall tales.

Nonfiction

Creative nonfiction submissions may be in any type of nonfiction, fact-based prose including, but not limited to, memoirs, short stories, personal essays, lyrical essays, literary journalism, and travel writing. Creative Nonfiction is usually a combination of scene, reflection, and exposition generally based on a person’s life or personal experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I be notified about my submission?
Submitters will be notified approximately 1 month after the submission deadline.
When and where do the journals get published?
Intraminutia is an online-only magazine, and will be published on our website through Issuu in the Spring.
If accepted, is my piece copyrighted by Sigma Tau Delta?
Per North American Serial Rights, Intraminutia will temporarily claim rights to submissions, but will return rights as soon as works are published.
